Waste of time to talk about Imran Khan, Said Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif Monday said it is waste of time to talk about Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shehbaz Sharif spoke to media persons at the Parliament House and said Imran Khan is still captivated by the World Cup 1992, and has no idea regarding the problems of the masses as he just wants to send people to jails.

“The incumbent government does not know anything except for the politics of revenge. It has become difficult for common man to make ends meet because roti and naan [traditional breads] are being sold for Rs15 and Rs20 respectively.

“Factories are shut down, laborers are unemployed, employees are being terminated, medicines are not available and inflation has surged.

“Pakistan is still searching for its destination after 71 years of independence, and those countries which got freedom after Pakistan have made more progress.

“We had improved things after learning lessons from the past. Charter of democracy was a wonderful treaty, and more parties can be included in it. Things can be improved as it is still not too late.”
