Pakistan Elections: National Assembly to elect new PM on Friday

ISLAMABAD: The newly-elected Members National Assembly (MNAs) will elect new prime minister on Friday. The election of the new prime minister will be held at 03:30PM during the National Assembly session.


The newly-elected Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaisar, announced schedule for election of the Prime Minister on Wednesday during the assembly session.


The candidates can submit the nomination papers by 02:00PM, while scrutiny of the forms would be completed by 03:00PM on Thursday. The nomination papers could be obtained from the National Assembly Secretariat.
