ISLAMABAD: Due to busy schedule of IHC judges, NAB’s plea against the acquittal of former premier Nawaz Sharif could not be heard.
Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kyani were due to conduct hearing on NAB’s plea against the acquittal of Nawaz Sharif in flagship reference.
However, the hearing has been adjourned till 21 May. NAB had challenged the acquittal of elder Sharif in flagship reference.
Earlier, the trial court acquitted the supreme leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in a reference pertaining to the Flagship investment and other offshore companies.
In the Flagship reference, NAB had claimed that Sharif and his sons set up Flagship Investment Limited and 15 other companies and used these companies “to manage/acquire expensive properties/any movement of funds to hide the real sources of funds.”
Accountability Judge Arshad Malik while reading out the short order earlier said there was no case against Nawaz in the Flagship reference.
