Federal govt to table ‘right to information’ bill in NA, Says Fawad Ch

Federal minister for information and broadcasting Fawad Ch has on Thursday stated that govt is mulling over introducing ‘right to information’ bill while terming it govt’s liability to uplift cognizance of the contemporary society.

He was addressing a ceremony here in Islamabad today.

Accusing past governments of annihilating state-institutions, Fawad added that Imran Khan-led federal govt utterly believes in self-accountability. “It is govt’s duty to create employment opportunities and bring transparency in every walk of life”, stated Fawad while adding at the same time that previous regimes had awarded contracts of mega-projects clandestinely and secretly.

Fawad made it overtly clear that aforementioned precedent wouldn’t be followed from now onwards.
