Excise office refuses to provide record of Zardari’s vehicles

ISLAMABAD: Excise and Taxation Office refused the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to hand over the details of two vehicles registered in the name of former president Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday.


According to private news channel, late former Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi had gifted these vehicles to Asif Ali Zardari during his presidential period.


Motor Vehicle Registration Office Islamabad had provided details of three vehicles to NAB Karachi whereas Excise Office have not presented the complete record of ST-347 and ST-348 to NAB officials yet.


NAB officials summoned Excise Superintendent and other officials several times but they refused to appear. Sources said that according to the policy, files were returned to Asif Ali Zardari after registration.
