LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Sunday expressed exasperation over his son-in-law Khalid Rehman for seeking undue favour for DIG Ghulam Mehmood Dogar in child custody case.
As per details garnered, CJP was hearing a case against aforementioned official here in SC Lahore Registry.
Ex-wife of Dogar has moved country’s top court against replacing her and their children on Exit Control List (ECL). Reportedly, Dogar had asked Rehman to keep his former wife and children names on ECL.
The son-in-law of country’s top judge—during hearing—stated that Dogar had requested him to keep his former wife and children names on ECL. Expressing displeasure over the incident, CJP inquired Dogar who advised him to approach the chief justice’s relatives for ‘favours’.
CJP—while reprimanding Dogar–remarked that he had waged a war against oppression.
