SC bars incumbent govt from appointments in Islamabad hospitals

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) on Monday has stopped the government from carrying out appointments in Islamabad hospitals.

During the hearing of a case regarding facilities in the medical centers, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that federal capital’s biggest hospital lacks its chairman.

‘Neat and clean’ chairman for PIMS hospital is required, he stated.

He further said that teh current government has left with only two months after which general elections will be held. The appointments matter will be handled by the new government now, he ordered.

The authorities don’t complete any work without the interference of the court, he continued.
