PM Imran apprises King of Bahrain about situation of occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday called Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and apprised him of the current situation in occupied Kashmir.

PM Imran in a telephonic conversation with the King of Bahrain strongly condemned the abrogation of Article 370 which ended the special status of Kashmir. India violated the United Nations’ resolution and Pakistan rejects the decision of India altogether, he added.

Prime Minister asserted that the global community should play a role in preventing India from taking irresponsible actions as they have violated the UNSC resolutions. He expressed that occupied Kashmir is a globally recognized controversial area and its status cannot be changed by any unilateral decision of India.

King Hamad supported Pakistan’s position and said that Bahrain is closely analyzing the situation in occupied Kashmir. “Hopefully, all issues will be resolved through negotiations,” he added.
