ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government over rising inflation in the country.

Speaking to media outside the Parliament House, Sharif said that ration that could purchased at Rs10,000 during PML-N tenure now costs Rs16,000.

“We broke the back of inflation during our rule,” Nawaz claimed.

He went on to say that electricity loadshedding and terrorism was eliminated and the country’s development process was initiated during his party’s tenure.
