Hearing against Ishaq Dar adjourned till April 25

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court of Islamabad Thursday adjourned hearing of a reference against former finance minister Ishaq Dar without testifying the prosecution witness due to absence of defence counsel.

AC Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the reference against Ishaq Dar pertaining to the assets beyond known sources of income. The three co-accused including President National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Saeed Ahmed, Naeem Mehmood and Mansoor Raza also appeared before the court.

During the course of proceeding, the junior counsel for Ahmed informed the court that the defence counsel Hashmat Habib had been admitted to the hospital due to diabetic issue.

He requested the court to postpone the recording statements of witness.

The court accepted the request and adjourned hearing of the case till April 25. The three prosecution witnesses including Director National Assembly Sherdil Khan, bank officers Abdul Rehman Gondal and Muhammad Azeem Khan also attended the proceeding.
