Enemy doesn’t want CPEC to succeed: Balochistan CM

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qadoos Bizinjo on Wednesday said that the enemy was spreading unrest in the province as it doesn’t want to see Gwadar developing and a successful China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Talking to media after attending a ceremony at Sardar Bahadur Women University, he said that the Balochistan and especially Quetta is facing terrorism and the terrorists wanted to destroy the peace.

The chief minister said that with the joint efforts of security forces and people, terrorism will be eliminated from the province and the planning of the enemy would be foiled.

Bizinjo went on to say that we have hosted a large number of refugees during the tough times but evidence of neighbouring countries involvement have been found, adding that the work on border fencing was underway which would help curtail terrorism.

He said: “More than a dozen incidents of terrorism have been foiled during the tenure of the provincial government and those involved in the target killing of members of Hazara community.”
