COAS Gen Bajwa calls on PM Imran, discusses range of issues

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.


During the meeting, matters pertaining to country’s internal and external security situation came under discussion.


The COAS also apprised the prime minister of Pakistan Army’s professional preparedness.


Matters relating to Afghanistan’s situation and reconciliation process were also discussed in the meeting.


Speaking on the occasion, PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan will continue to play role for peace in the region.


He said that the Pakistan supports every step to restore peace in Afghanistan.
